- Sodium Hexametaphosphate – Linked to skin irritation, swollen kidneys, and abnormal growth
- Artificial Dyes – Unnatural food coloring is also found in sugary, colorful breakfast cereals and candy, and is linked to allergic reactions as well as cancer in humans and animals.
- Carrageenan – Has been shown to induce intestinal inflammation in animals
- Taurine – also found in energy drinks
- Animal Fat – Usually derived from unidentified animals which means your dog food could contain particles from roadkill and even euthanized animals.
- Vegetable Oil – Can cause inflammation, exasperating any underlying conditions your dog has or is prone to.
