Mera Sona
a love letter to my parents.
Mera Sona began long before it had a name. It began with my parents, Sunita and Ramesh, and the way they taught me to think about care. My mother brought color, creativity and intention into everything she touched; my father devoted his life to medicine and caring for others. From them, I learned that wellness isn’t simply about what we eat—it’s about how thoughtfully we care for ourselves, the people we love and the world around us. Mera Sona is my way of carrying those lessons forward.
Where Wellness Became Personal
Growing up, wellness was never something separate from everyday life. My mother taught me to see food through color, balance and intention, while my father brought the perspective of a physician who spent his career caring for children and newborns. Together, they shaped a belief that still guides Mera Sona today: caring for the body should be thoughtful, joyful and rooted in love.
Years later, that philosophy became something tangible. What began with whole-food wellness creations for our beloved cocker spaniels, Koko and Sazi, grew into Mera Sona—a certified organic brand created for people and pets, with real ingredients and a rainbow at its heart.
To eat a rainbow a day, and to make that easy, delicious, and real.
We believe nourishment should never feel complicated. Every Mera Sona product exists to bring color, whole ingredients, and intentional care back into daily life, for the people you love and the pets who are family too.
THE TWO WHO STARTED IT ALL
Before Mera Sona became a brand, Koko and Sazi were our first taste-testers, inspiration and family. The whole-body support I created for them became part of the foundation for what Mera Sona would eventually become.
We lost Sazi in November, but her place in this story is permanent. Koko & Sazi's Whole Body Support carries both of their names—a reminder that at Mera Sona, wellness has always been about taking care of the ones we love, whether they have two legs or four.
BUILT BY HAND. LITERALLY.
Mera Sona is made from a licensed commercial kitchen in Oklahoma City, designed and built from the ground up to meet the highest standards of food safety while staying true to a homemade philosophy.
Every batch is small. Every ingredient is chosen with the same care my mother chose the colors on her canvases. Our kitchen passed a full health department inspection, runs on NSF-certified equipment, and follows strict chemical and sanitation protocols, because "homemade" and "held to the highest standard" were never mutually exclusive to us.
When we poured the concrete sidewalk of this kitchen, we pressed our family's handprints into it, along with a paw print from Sazi. It's a small thing. But it means every product that leaves this kitchen carries a piece of the people, and the precious pup, who started it all.
Mera Sona is Made in Oklahoma, and proud of it.
We believe good food and good wellness are community efforts, not solo ones. That belief shows up in our partnerships, our giving back, and our involvement in organizations across Oklahoma working toward healthier, more connected communities. It shows up in the farmers, makers, and small business owners we source from and stand beside. And it shows up every time someone brings a rainbow-colored product into their home and shares it with someone they love.
